Long Overdue Update
Hello! How are you doing?
It's been a while since I've given you an update, so here's making up for some lost time.
Rewards Are In!
The physical rewards are starting to come together. I've received the postcards, pins and have all the supplies to start making the wax seals, 7 out of about 100 seals are done, I know what I'll be doing on my Friday nights! I'll also be recording the thank you videos for those that chose the add-on. You can also expect Skullboy's 7 Steps To Taking A leap Of Faith to come out at the same time as the digital rewards.
Surveys Will Be Out Soon
Now that I have the pieces of the puzzle, I'll be able to get the correct weight on the orders for the shipping costs. All of this will be handled through Backerkit. If you need a refresher about what to expect, you can watch the video at the bottom of the post. To all of my backers in South Australia, there is an option for you to do a local pick-up, which brings me to the next topic...
The Book Launch!
A couple of weeks ago, I attended the book launch for another Adelaide author who just completed a crowdfunding campaign. This got me thinking, even though I'd considered where I could have a book launch, I hadn't put a lot of thought into it. BUT, I have now, and yes, there will be one! I am aiming for the first weekend in March pending the arrival of the books. So if any Adelaide backers would like to opt-in for local pick-up, the book launch will be a great place to get your copy. Stay tuned for more details.
So When Do We See The Book?
Today I sent the final, final copy to the printer. I checked, double-checked, and triple-checked everything. It's quite a nerve-wracking experience! But, it has been sent! I've been told to expect the books sometime in February. Then the packing and sending begins! The plan is to have everything ready to go so it's a simple case of slipping the book in the envelope and getting it out the door.
That about wraps it up! I look forward to giving you another update soon!
Stay tuned, and stay Skullbrained ❤️💀🧠📚
Updates & Hiccups!

Hello! I hope you're doing great :)
Just wanted to touch base and give you an update on where everything is at! Rewards are starting to get ordered, the enamel pins order has been placed, the wax sticks for the postcards have been shipped and the postcards themselves will be ordered next week.
While I've been waiting for all of those things to come in, I've been going over the book with a fine-tooth comb. I'm making sure there are no spelling errors and the formatting flows nicely so the rhyming is not too clunky to read.
Check Your Kickstarter Messages
I've been sending out messages to the people who have backed 'The Complete Package' and upwards. I'm writing the page that will hold everyone's name who backed at these levels and would like to confirm how they'd like their name written or if they want it as a dedication to someone else. I'll send out one more message before the book gets sent to the printers, and if I don't get a response, the name that you backed the project with will go in the book. So please check your Kickstarter messages!
A Change To The Pins
So, I mentioned hiccups, and I've had my first one. When I submitted my order for the pins, the manager of the company wrote to me saying that Hard Enamel isn't going to be suitable for the amount of detail in the design. I've been advised to go with Soft Enamel, saying it will be better for the design and also give it a nicer finish overall. The production cost will remain the same.
I was a bit disappointed in this because I had sent the design in and the specs I was after prior to the campaign and nothing was said. However, if it means a better pin for everyone overall...so be it! So I apologise that the Hard Enamel pin as described in the rewards will now be changing to Soft Enamel.
The Surveys
The backer surveys are coming along. I did want to have them out this week, however, discovered that I can calculate shipping for you all based on the total weight order of the order. I'm going to wait until the rewards are in so that I can do this properly for you!
---
That about sums up this update! Thank you for reading. I've left a little pic for you at the bottom of 'L'il Stampy' who is just waiting for the wax sticks to arrive! Stay tuned for more exciting updates as things keep ticking along!
Stay Skullbrained ❤💀🧠📚

AMAZING!
And just like that, 4 weeks come to a close. A very successful close! I had to share that party graphic just one more time! Skullboy and the Leap Of Faith has successfully been funded! An 11-year journey from writing the story to getting it illustrated to now is feeling like it's only just begun.
So what happens now? I've started filling in all of the shipping profiles for the different reward levels and add-ons. This is 100% new to me, and I'm trying to wrap my head around it as best I can, so bear with me. I intend to get the surveys out in a couple of weeks from now. Friends in Adelaide, you have a local pick-up option available, which is great!
I will do another look over the book and make any formatting adjustments before sending it to Fontaine Publishing for approval. The funds will be released in a month, but I'll start getting the other rewards like pins, postcards, and shipping materials ready to go.
The printing process will take approximately 10 weeks. And when the books arrive, organising and shipping will commence. (If any of my friends who select local pick-up would like to help me with this process...) Wink, wink!
Again, I can't express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported this campaign. Skullboy and the Leap Of Faith hasn't just been me writing what I think is a cool story, I've lived it. So for the campaign to come to a successful conclusion means so much more than you could imagine.
Of course, this isn't the end for Skullboy. Many more ideas, many more adventures and you've all played an integral role in making it happen.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
As always, stay tuned and stay Skullbrained 🖤💀🧠📚
The Final Countdown!

Here we are! Zero days left, we are into the final hours of the campaign!
To celebrate, I've changed the thumbnail one more time for a fun little tie-in of one of my all-time favourite trilogies...can you guess what it is?
Great Scott!
Let's give this campaign one more push! Extra funding means extra copies of Skullboy and his message in the world! Last night I was handing out flyers at the Goosebumps Swap & Shop Halloween maze, and tonight, hit the streets and did a letterbox drop with the remaining.
If all of you wonderful backers could give one more share of the link on your social media, it would be amazing and so helpfulful! Let's see how far we can push this together!
PS: This was my second idea for a "Final Countdown" homage thumbnail...if you know, you know!
