Finally! This week, I've been back and forth with BackerKit to make sure everything is set up for the surveys to start rolling out. It was a lot more involved than I thought. This morning, I received the thumbs up, made a couple of minor adjustments, and will start sending them out tomorrow.
BackerKit requires me to send out test surveys to 5% of backers to make sure everything is in order. Tomorrow morning (Adelaide time) some of you may be the lucky chosen who will get to make sure everything is in working order. This is completely random, as well :)
Good question, if all of those are good to go, I can send out the rest of the surveys. Once all of the shipping and orders have been processed, I can start sending them out to you all. Friends in Adelaide, I am intending to do a book launch, but it might not be until late May. If you can't wait that long and want to get your copy earlier. We'll arrange a local pick-up!

I got a photo from my brother-in-law at 1pm today telling me that the books had arrived at his workshop! We were very lucky that there was a forklift in the yard at the very time they did arrive, otherwise, they never would have made it off of the top shelf of the truck!

My niece definitely can't wait to read it!

It's been a while since you've heard from me, and it's time for a long-overdue update! Things have been a bit hectic in the Skullbrain Studios, but I do have some news for you! Let's go! :)
I received an email on Friday that the production of the books is complete and they are on their way!
The estimated book delivery to my door is the 18th of February. Exciting! I'm honestly wondering if it's just best to wait now until they arrive before sending out the surveys? That way I'll be able to get an accurate idea of shipping with the correct book weight instead of just guessing. I've emailed the printing company and asked if they can give me a weight. Stay tuned, if I get an answer, I'll get the surveys out sooner.
I have printed out a spreadsheet and will begin organising the orders so it's just a matter of getting the book into the bag and sending it off.
All 100 wax seals have been created!
To make things even quicker when it comes to fulfilling, I may reach out to some of you soon with questions regarding names, etc that you would like on certain rewards. I already have some requests. The easiest way though will be a mass email, so please humor me and respond with your answer, that way I'll have them all in one place.
With the re-introduction of Covid in S.A., it's a case of watching this space. I really hope we get to give the funding of this book a well-deserved celebration. I'm keeping my eye on the restrictions and will give you another update once things are looking clearer.

I just wanted to drop you a line to say wherever you are in the world, Skullboy and I would like to wish you a very safe and happy holiday season. In some parts of the world, situations still aren't great. I really do hope you get to see your loved ones in whatever way you can.
I've been pressing all of the wax seals, one by one, and have made 75 so far. Not many more to go. It's been great throwing on something to listen to and drift off as I'm melting wax and stamping them all! The book is off and I've had confirmation that it should arrive early to mid-February, however, the postage system in Australia is undergoing some restrictions at the moment. I'm crossing all of my fingers and hoping this doesn't affect the arrival of the book, but please know, there could be some delays.
Are coming! By the time I was able to get all of the items to create weight-based shipping estimations, the Christmas period took over. While I could have got them out to you by now, you've probably got a tonne of other things to get sorted out with wrapping up this year. So the surveys will be out in January once the silly season has cooled off.
Adelaide friends, the book launch is targeted for the first weekend of March in McLaren Vale. I'll keep you updated with everything as plans come together. It all depends on if the book arrives as scheduled. So, please keep that time of the year in mind!

What a year! I am honestly so happy to be able to have brought this story to its full conclusion by getting it printed. But, it wouldn't have happened without all of your support. It's time to get it further out into the world. And also, to continue Skullboy's adventures. Your faith in this story means a lot (pun intended). Thank you! The fun has just begun!
